Ekolab is our first step on a long journey towards making more environmentally friendly gear. For us it's an R&D project, and what we learn here will be applied to the rest of our product line, season after season. For our waterproof breathable fabrics we use a new PU membrane that eliminates the need for PTFE, fluorocarbon-free DWR coatings. In fleece we are using 60% recycled polyester eliminating oil otherwise needed during production. These are along with many other advances towards sustainability like 100% Organic Cotton, hardware using recycled plastics, recycled paper labels and hang tags, close proximity manufacturing, etc.
